About Nestlenook Estate and Resort

Deep in the New Hampshire White Mountains, near historic Jackson Covered Bridge and along a tree-lined country road, you'll find a place you have searched for all your life, Nestlenook Estate and Resort. The Resort consists of 65 acres of groomed and natural beauty, presided over by a 200 year old Victorian Gingerbread Inn and set atop a knoll, luxurious Victorian Village and Grand Victorian overlook the estate. At its center, Nestlenook Estate and Resort features Emerald Lake, which is stocked with trout for fly fishing and the idea spot to enjoy the swan boats, row boats and gondola. In the winter, the frozen Emerald Lake is zamboni groomed and turned into the best outdoor skate park in the state. On an island in the lake is the fully enclosed warming center for guests to warm themselves by the fire with a nice cup of hot chocolate. Nestlenook Estate and Resorts is located adjacent to the Ellis River and features beautiful gardens, peaceful gazebos and majestic mountain views. No matter what the season, Nestlenook Estate and Resort is fun for the entire family.

In 2010, Nestlenook Inn, our Victorian Inn, was converted into The Spirits of the Past Museum, a walking tour filled with fascinating tales in a beautiful surrounding. Nestlenook Inn is one of the oldest residences in Jackson Village built circa 1790.

Nestlenook Estate and Resort also offers you Victorian Village. Our Villas are located on a romantic Victorian estate. Perched on a knoll, overlooking Emerald Lake, parks, and mountains. Our lavishly decorated deluxe master suites, master suites and penthouses are complete with fireplaces, large screen TVs, VCRs, stereos, screened terraces, and state of the art romantic therapy spas with mood lighting, waterfall, and 20 synchronized jets. The deluxe master suite is comprised of two bedrooms and a livingroom all one one level. This villa which sleeps 6 was designed with families in mind. The deluxe master suites and master suites feature outdoor grilling / cooking facilities for year round enjoyment. Adjacent to Victorian Village is a swing set and pool making it ideal for families. In 2010, Victorian Village was designated as Nestlenook's Long Term Seasonal Rental Accommodations.

The newest addition to Nestlenook Estate and Resort is Grand Victorian is available for nightly rentals. Grand Victorian was designed with luxury in mind, but still very family oriented. Grand Victorian is comprised of a penthouse, which sleeps four and a master suite, which sleeps four. The master suite includes a full kitchen. Grand Victorian features hard wood floors, granite counter tops, king sized sleigh beds, two person therapy spas, wall mounted flat screen televisions, gas fireplaces, and the best mountain views on the entire property.

In spring, summer and fall, venture outside into our serene, award winning gardens on the cobblestone and brick walkways, relax in our Lakeside Gazebo and daydream of an era gone by, mountain bike the trails along the rushing cold water of the Ellis River, follow our hiking trails to the granite ledges offering a breathtaking panorama of estate, or stroll across our arched bridge to visit the European Fallow Deer in Emerald Forest. Enjoy the serenity of Emerald Lake as you glide through the water in one of our rowboats, or try your hand at fly-fishing. You will escape back in time on a nostalgic horse-drawn surrey carriage ride. Other area activities include hiking up Mount Washington, the surrounding mountains and short hikes, canoeing down any one of the many rivers in Mount Washington Valley, or visit some of the White Mountain Attractions close by.

Following the magical splendor of autumn foliage, as the last leaves fall and a delicate dance of snowflakes begins, Nestlenook is transformed into a Currier & Ives Winter Wonderland. Sleigh bells ring out as the horse-drawn Austrian sleighs pass by. Sit by one of the many crackling bonfires or warm up inside our Lakeside Gazebo in front of the Count Rumford fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate. Emerald Lake provides on of the most exceptional outdoor skating facilities in New England and by snowshoes, our trails become a peaceful winter retreat. All skate and snowshoe equipment are provided for our guests. Other area activities include cross country skiing on Jackson Ski Touring's 150 kilometers of tracked and groomed trails, Alpine skiing a several mountains close by, and don't forget North Conway's tax-free outlet shopping.
